Thief

The Thief can be a town or a scum role. A Thief uses its night action to steal from items from other players, generally stripping that player of their ability to use their role, temporarily or permanently. Sometimes the stolen items come from an Inventor. Sometimes they can even steal a vigilante's gun, giving the thief a vig-kill. It's up to the Mod's discretion what items can be stolen, whether the person stolen from can still perform a night action, whether or not the Thief can use the item they stole (thus acquiring their victim's night action), and so on.

In past games, the Thief has also been able to give the items it's stolen to other players. In Harry Potter and the Circus of Chaos run by Token Female and ChellesandCheese, Golden Zucchini was a Thief for the scum team and was able to successfully steal objects from CapnAndy, the town Inventor. He was able to give away items to other players, usually his scumbuddies, if he was already in possession of an item.
